There are so many different ways to frame up this little audio clip. And if you don’t have smart enough tools to give it a listen, well, I’m just sorry in advance.
The one specific quote that continually sticks out for me is when CJ is in the midst of his story and he says, ‘Again, like I always do … I went for honor and glory.’
Holy.cow. How many times have I let the fear of going for the long shot stop me? And yet, my nine (almost ten?!) year-old doesn’t hesitate. Like he always does. Because he really wants it. It’s so easy. #amiright?
And how true is that for you? What’s your honor and glory shot? What would it take for you to just step out in faith and see where you land? I literally just saw someone post this quote from Erin Hanson:
“What if I fall? Oh,but my darling, what if you fly?”
Find that child-like faith within yourself and just dare to fly. I know it’s advice I have to give myself con.stant.ly. And there is a LOT (like, a lot) to be afraid of. But just what if? What if we make the shot?
And imagine, if you take and make that shot as Connor did, you, too, could go home with your very own … stuffed bat.
Disclaimer: He totally knew I was recording him and I totally sound like a dork. But, he was that excited and I really do think he’s simply amazing.
