Today was crazy. It was a typical Monday, but it felt like there was just so much activity filling up time from the day’s start to its end.
Thankfully, though, the sun came out. And I caught myself at the end of the day admiring how it peeked through the crack into my office.
Then, as night fell, the brilliant moon shown in the eastern sky. I almost missed it, but thankfully I received a reminder from an old friend. After I settled in at home, I got the camera back out and (quickly) snapped a few pics. I was, after all, wearing capri cut-offs in the crisp night air.
I appreciated the reminder to just.stop. a couple times in the midst of all that was going on. Because truly, whether the sun is warming up our office during the day or the moon is illuminating our path at night, we still have light. We just need to remember the source. The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. – Isaiah 60:19
Staci, I was thinking the same thing last night as I was looking up into the night sky and saw my sweet Taylor’s star shining brightly! Oh how I miss that little girl! My heart has been so heavy lately thinking about her and wondering why God thinks I am strong enough to handle all of this! Love reading your blogs and love you and Connor so much! Stay strong!
i’m sorry i never responded, sherri! you ARE strong enough to handle this. God chose you specifically to be taylor’s mom for a very good reason. i saw it with my very own eyes that day at bronson. you gave me something i’ll never forget. love you, cousin.
I love you so much too Staci, you too are very strong and an awesome mom!
