I have always been a very proud mama. I recall how I felt the first time Connor sat up on his own and when he took his first steps. I remember being proud when he learned how to ride a bike and when he learned how to (really) swing a bat. Well, that time was less about pride than it was about sheer pain from the impact of the bat striking the side of my face shortly thereafter. #dontsittooclosemom

mom, i’m growing up
I wish I would have done a better job of documenting these past few months with Connor because holy man, I’m riding a wave of emotion right now about the amazing gift of a child I’ve been given.
It’s kind of unbelievable to look back over the course of three months and think of all that’s happened and all that’s changed. When I consider that Connor wrapped up an amazing second grade year on June 30, er, June 10 (sorry, it was a long Michigan winter) and now we’re already two weeks into third grade, it’s just tough to wrap my head around it all. q&a with connor
One of my mom friends (is it weird I call them “mom friends”?) and her uber-creative daughter came up with a survey for all of our babies turning eight. I thought it would be fun to do a live q&a session to cherish forever and ever.
For the record, we did a dry run but realized it was too dark.
Isn’t he cute?
