Pre-game day, folks! I mean, happy almost Thanksgiving! Connor and I are able to sit side-by-side to round up our marathon Saturday in Atlanta just under two weeks ago now. I’ve asked him to make sure I don’t forget any of the wicked cool stuff we did because we most certainly want you all to feel like you were right there with us because, family.

Oh, I am well aware you’ve all been waiting for this since last year’s summer edition of #adventureswithcj so let me just assure you, the wait is over! Now, this year’s edition is less picturesque as we literally ran through the city streets of Atlanta. In a day and a half. But please don’t let your hopes be dashed. You need more time this week to think about turkey and cranberries anyhow!
mom, i’m growing up
I wish I would have done a better job of documenting these past few months with Connor because holy man, I’m riding a wave of emotion right now about the amazing gift of a child I’ve been given.
It’s kind of unbelievable to look back over the course of three months and think of all that’s happened and all that’s changed. When I consider that Connor wrapped up an amazing second grade year on June 30, er, June 10 (sorry, it was a long Michigan winter) and now we’re already two weeks into third grade, it’s just tough to wrap my head around it all. It wasn’t too long ago one of my BFFs posted about the mommy wars that are all too common on the interwebs. Most commonly, you hear women comparing the challenges of being a SAHM or WOHM (which, to be honest, was an entirely new acronym for me … but I like it!) and which is “harder”. I don’t like to put my thoughts out there all the time on such heated topics because I’m too sensitive to get flamed.
