I was going to bail on church today. Yep, I said ‘bail on church.’ People say that. Continue reading

here we go again #twoweekchallenge
Last year, a good friend of mine conned encouraged me to join him in the Active:Water Two Week Challenge in support of World Water Day. I elected to join him mostly because I’m not well-versed in how to say ‘eh, no thanks’ when I’ve been asked to take part in a cause. Don’t y’all use that against me now, ya hear? Also? He’s on the Board of Directors over there and so that makes him kind of a big deal and doubles the difficulty in saying ‘eh, ees ok.’ P.S. Name that Bachelor contestant. Continue reading

Happy March. Or, as we like to say in Michigan, “Happy March. Wait, is it March? Where is the grass? Will this snow ever melt? I’m cold.”

I feel like Julie is seventy years younger than I am, so it makes sense that her approach to, well, everything is just so youthful and sweet. She is one of those truly special individuals that just make you want to be better. Suffice it to say, I really like Julie. Continue reading

I have this little buddy. Her name is Maya and she recently celebrated her third birthday. I’ve been following her (quite literally) since she was born as her mom is really good about capturing her at each milestone age. That’s a lesson for this mom who is not so good about doing that. my funny valentine
It is honestly completely crazy to think about that morning eight years ago when I felt my first contraction. It was February 13, just after 3:00 … in the morning, that is. Continue reading
