I can’t recall a year in which I’ve gotten to hold so many babies. I feel like something happened last year … October-ish? Was there a snowstorm?

Anyway, the babies. They are in abundance. And they’re all beautiful. And I love getting in extra snuggles having the opportunity to capture their new-ness. Oh, and the love from their bigger siblings and moms and dads. Rocky and Kelly are two really sweet people who make beautiful children. And surely, Grady loves his baby brother. Continue reading

Isn’t it unbelievably amazing how quickly a newborn morphs into a little human being? Melanie and Jason were kind enough to ask me to come take some photos of their sweet baby girl and I got to experience first-hand the many faces of Eleanor. Oh, and I won’t say that I hated having to pick her up and snuggle with her throughout the session. Well, all except for when her mom needed me to pick up couches and other potential obstacles. clear sense of direction

I still remember thumbing through my parents’ atlas as a young traveler. When we would make the long hike to Florida, I would study it for hours (because what else are you going to do in a van for 20 hours (or more) besides fight with your sister or play foot races on the ceiling with one of your bffs? true stories.) always knowing what state we were in, what town we might hit next and where I’d like to travel when I grew up.  Continue reading

We’ve been praying for Nathaniel for the last several months. He was deployed to Afghanistan last summer and returned safely back to the States in early May.
